  • Carmel Pre-University College has been identified as a Tobacco-free Institution. Principal Sandhya Menezes has been appointed TOFEI leader by implementing the Tobacco-free Educational Institution Program.

STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENTS AT STATE/NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL LEVEL (Sports/Cultural/Art & Literary)

  • Sanjana Barati and Ashwini N won the silver medal in National Level Tennikoit tournament in 2004. Sanjana was adjudged as 5th Best National Player
  • Mehitha Bhat played throwball at the National Level at Madhya Pradesh and brought many laurels.
  • National Level soft ball player, Kartik Dev represented Karnataka and were winners in 2009.
  • At the National Level Volleyball tournament, Mithesh represented our State.
  • Manjunath N attended National Level Taekwando Championship at Madhya Pradesh in 2015.
  • Sahana, a yogasana champion won at the South Indian Yogasana Championship and at the International Championship in Pondicherry in 2015.
  • Nikhil Jain, a Taekwando Champion bagged 2 silver medals at South Korea Taekwando Championship.
  • Dhanush Babu was announced as the fastest Skater at the World Ice Skating in Taiwan in 2012.
  • Harshith G played throwball at the National Level tournament at Gwalior.
  • Sujna represented Karnataka at the National Level throwball and emerged as winners.
  • Rakshitha S participated in Roller Skating Asian Trials and got Gold medal at National Roller Skating Championship in October 2018.
  • At the State Level Drama competition held at Kalakshetra by Rangotri, our students troupe ‘Karibanta’ won the titles Best Folk Drama and Best Costume Award in December 2006.
  • Meghana S Kumar attended the Kannada Culture programme in London and was honoured as ‘Hemmeya Kannadathi’.
  • In 2012, our troupe “BEAT” won the National Level Street Dance at New Horizon PU College.
  • In June 2011, Students of Eco Club participated Quiz conducted by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.
  • In 2018 in Kannada Prathibha Parikshe, Abhishek and Akash N were State Level Winners.
  • At the National Voters Day celebration on January 25th 2022 and 2023, Aniketh won the second place at the State Level poster making event and was honoured by the Governor.
  • Tejash won 154th place in an open event conducted by Times of India in the contest – “Write a Caption, Share & Win”.
  • At Miraki 2021 and Miraki 2022 at Surana College, our Cultural team were overall Champions.
  • At rendezvous 2006, our Cultural team were overall Champions.
  • At the State Level Youth Festival 2023 conducted by Dept of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Govt of Karnataka, our Students Kanchan and Nikki participated in the residential camp for 4 days and won places in Dance, Skit and Drawing.
  • Ajanta James got selected in Karnataka State Cricket Association under 16 Zonals and she has been given the Best Bowler title.
  • Richitha V Pandit and Tejaswini RajKumar participated in the Debate and Essay competition organized by Indian Psychiatric Society and received the overall championship Rolling trophy in 2008.
  • At the State level Cultural and Literary competition organized by Department of Pre-University Education, Nishanth got the III Prize in painting December 2011.
  • Sanjana Hegde got the II Prize at State Level Debate competition held at Bijapur by Department of Pre-University Education.
