Students Council

Carmel’s student council is a representative body composed of students elected to represent and serve the student community’s interests at college. We encourage students with leadership qualities to serve as the student community’s voice, representing their interests and concerns to the administration, faculty and staff. Being a part of the student council allows students to develop leadership skills, such as: communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making. These skills are transferable to many areas of life and can be helpful in their future careers.

The core committee of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Sports, Cultural and Literary Secretaries are ably assisted by two class representatives from each class. For the past many years, it has been a tradition for the student council to play a vital role in promoting student engagement by organizing events, clubs, and activities that enhance the student experience. These events foster a sense of community and pride in the college, creating a more fulfilling college experience.

Overall, the student council is an essential component of the college experience.

If you feel you have the potential to be Carmel’s, next president, we will  provide you with a platform to render your service.
